{a fork} was written by david. this is david's contribution to the 3 stand-alone songs on the album. when david initially brought up the idea of doing these stand-alone songs, he said they should be under 3 minutes. david thought it was under three minutes until it was recorded, where he finally found out it was much longer. this band considers this song to be the most "standard" and "traditional" song off of the album, and is more or less the swan-song for the band writing this style of music.
