this song was written about 4 years ago by david, and had simply sat unused until we went into the studio. ryan had never played along to the song until he we started recording it, and his part surprised all of us. david was expecting a far more straight-forward, simple beat, so when ryan played what he did everyone thought he was completely mishearing the song/time signature/something. it actually turned out that ryan was being far more creative than any of us, and helped make this song way more interesting than it would have been. the song is called {twin peaks} simply because the bass line in the song david found to be extremely reminiscent of the bass line for the intro song in {twin peaks}. lazy titles all around on this release.
